International Spinal Cord Injury Treatments & Trials (ISCITT)
The ISCITT Symposium is held by China Spinal Cord Injury Network every one or two years, to showcase the achievements and discuss the problems in preclinical research and clinical studies of spinal cord injuries. The symposium also addresses the innovation and advances in treatment and rehabilitation of spinal cord injury. Collaboration and exchange  can be obtained by a variety of different styles, including invited lecture, special speech, free paper, poster review and training workshop among attendees.

The Sixth ISCITT Symposium
4th International Neural Regeneration Symposium and 9th Asia Pacific Symposium on Neural Regeneration
6-8 September, 2014, Nanjing

The Fifth ISCITT Symposium
3rd International Neural Regeneration Symposium
10-15 October, 2013, Shenyang

The Fourth ISCITT Symposium
combined with IANR V & 9th GCNN Conference
4-6 May, 2012, Xi'an
Global development and commercialization of cell therapies for neurodegenerative diseases particularly in spinal cord injury is accelerating. The Conference brings the Science and Business together. Biotechs and academics will gather to present the advance in clinical trials and the bench top findings, and to discuss strategies to expedite the cell therapy pathway from bench to bedside through innovation and market opportunity optimization.

The Third ISCITT Symposium
combined with 21st Annual Congress of Chinese Spine & Spinal Cord Conference
30 October - 1 November, 2008, Beijing
The symposium had attracted nearly 500 participants. Speakers including spinal surgeons and researchers from China, other parts of Asia and the United States introduced their researches in the treatment and care for spinal cord injuries. New therapies discussed include: intradural decompression, transplantation of Schwann cells, olfactory ensheathing cells, neural stem cells, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, new-born rat blood cells, and GRP-derived astrocytes, use of drug therapies such as methylpredinisolone, lithium, 4-aminoprimidine, self-assembling polypeptide (SAP), Decorin, and Scirr10. The meeting was successful with overwhelmingly positive responses from participants.

The First ISCITT Symposium

December 17-20, 2005, Hong Kong

The Symposium was attended by 300 leading spinal cord injury (SCI) clinicians and scientists around the world. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Liao Xinbo, the Deputy Director General of Department of Health of Guangdong Province, delivered a welcome address to the participants of the Symposium. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Liao Xinbo; Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Tam; Dean of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine Professor SK Lam, Co-chairman of the Symposium Professor Wise Young and Professor KF So.  The Symposium is the first of its kind in the region and marked the beginning of a new era in spinal cord injury research. It brought together China and global clinicians and scientists to establish a firm platform for future collaboration in SCI research.  Many of the speakers presented the clinical studies that had never been published before.
